Birdwatching 2
Birdwatching 2 will visit sites local to Ashtead such as Ashtead & Epsom Commons, Horton Country Park, Rushett Farm etc. Revisiting these places will let us see how the species change throughout the year in these locations.
This group is for anyone new to birdwatching as well as those who are more experienced. The leader has been birdwatching for many years and will help identify the various bird species. We will tend to see the usual woodland & farmland birds as well as some more unusual local ones. Walks will be monthly and should last about one and a half to two hours.
It will help if you have your own binoculars and good boots as it can get very wet and muddy in winter.
The best time for the leader would be the 1st Weds of the month in the afternoon. The other Birdwatching group goes out on the 3rd week so this would maybe allow some people to be in both groups and go out fortnightly.
