Details of Group Activities:
In this group we use the Pasos 2 Spanish Course book as our textbook but explore many other topics of interest to the group as we practice our reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. We don't have a native Spanish speaker in the group but we use videos, podcasts, newspaper articles and websites to provide natural Spanish language resources which stimulate discussion and provide examples of vocabulary and grammar. We usually bring a piece of prepared homework to each session; this could be a diary of our week's activities, a grammar exercise or a comprehension, for example. We go through this then continue to explore the topic using one of the resources mentioned above. Any member of the group who wishes to lead a session is welcome to do so but there is no obligation to lead. We have discovered shared interests in the arts, history, the environment, culture and food!
