Local Studies: Country Folk & City Folk

Local Studies is a vibrant and varied field.

Joining the Aberdeen u3a Local Studies group provides you with ways to approach important - and not so important - historical, cultural and heritage themes and topics relating to the counties of Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire as well as the city of Aberdeen.

In our group there are plenty of opportunities for members to share their enthusiasms and interests.

In the era of Covid-19, we've adopted both the traditional approach of a regular newsletter and voguish Zoom meetings.

Our normal meeting place is the Northern Arts Club (NAC), on the 4th Thursday of the month. However, we might blend our approach in 2021-2022 to include some Zoom meetings and at least two Aberdeen-based study visits as well as sessions at the NAC.
