Book Group 3
A new Book Group … with a difference!
There's an abundance of options on how to run a book group. Not everyone likes to read other people's choices. In Book Group III we won't (necessarily) have all read the same book. And that's the difference!
In our new book group, we’ll have some sessions at which members will be free to talk about books they've read which have brought them joy, bored them to tears or left them scratching their heads.
Some of our meetings will be shaped around broad themes such as geography, biographies, history, travel, science to name but a few. We could also frame our discussions around specific questions. For example which book(s) have changed your mind? Have you ever chosen to read a book going by its cover and regretted that decision? Or what was the book which was your bridge between 'kid world' and 'grown up world'?
We’ll be meeting at the Aberdeen Methodist Church at 8, Crown Terrace on the first Friday of most months starting at 11.00 am. We'll plan to finish by 1.00 pm (tops).
Our first meeting is on Friday 2nd February 2024. We hope you'll consider joining us.
