Welcome to Aberdeen U3A which provides educational, recreational and social activities for retired or semi-retired people who, after the completion of their many years of employment, or family obligations, wish to continue their life in the company of others, in Aberdeen and the Shire.

Aberdeen U3A offers interest groups in a wide range of subjects - see the Groups page (click on the button above). All our activities are led by unpaid volunteers who encourage all members to participate in the groups. No qualifications are required and none are given. You can usually try out a Group without making a long term commitment.

Please note that due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus some meeting restrictions remain in place.

However, we are now running monthly speaker meetings in the BB Hall, and the programme of talks is on our Events page. Most interest groups continue to meet, either online or in person. For details, please see the group webpages or contact the group leader via the pigeon icon on the group's webpage.

Aberdeen U3A was founded in 2001 and we currently have over 200 members. It is part of a world-wide organisation. Over 273,000 people nationally in 832 branches use the U3A to enrich their later years. Please come and join us. You will be made very welcome.
