Walking

Footsteps Walks are held on the second Saturday of each month, from September to June, and we usually meet at 10am. Most walks are on fairly level ground and of 4-7 miles in length, but a few may be more testing. Instead of having a single group leader, individual members volunteer to lead walks of their own choosing. New members are welcome to join us on our monthly walks.
Each session's walks are listed below, emailed to group members, and also intimated at the U3A monthly meetings. Full details of each month's walk are added a couple of weeks ahead of the walk date.

JUNE 2019 UPDATE - By popular request we plan to have a monthly walk in July and August this year. Details will be posted here once the dates and routes are confirmed.

13 July - circular walk in the Pitmedden area, c. 6 miles
10 August - tbc

13 July 2019 - meet at 10.30am at Udny Green, near the pub Eat on the Green. This is flat ground, with good paths and a short section on a minor road. The route passes Tolquhoun Castle, where there is an entrance fee, if anyone wishes to visit it. Afterwards there is an opportunity for coffee, etc in Pitmedden.

Please wear stout shoes or boots and bring waterproofs. You may also wish to bring some refreshments for during the walk.

Please note that walkers must be members of the U3A. Members walk at their own risk and will be asked to sign a disclaimer form before their first walk. A copy of the form is available as a link on this page.
