Walking

Footsteps Walks are held on the second Saturday of each month, from September to June, and we usually meet at 10am. Most walks are on fairly level ground and of 4-7 miles in length, but a few may be more testing. Instead of having a single group leader, individual members volunteer to lead walks of their own choosing. New members are welcome to join us on our monthly walks.
Each session's walks are listed below, emailed to group members, and also intimated at the U3A monthly meetings. Full details of each month's walk are added a couple of weeks ahead of the walk date.

Saturday, 14 September 2019 - a circular walk at Mains of Haddo, a distance of 5-6 miles.
Meet at 10.30am at Formartine's, at the junction of the B999 and the B9170, about one mile north of Tarves. The car park is free and we will do a circular walk of about 5-6 miles on level ground. Lunch or coffee and cakes afterwards at Formartine's. Please wear stout shoes or boots and bring waterproofs. You may also wish to bring some refreshments for during the walk.
