We enjoy Scottish History in all its complexity; Scots song, traditional and modern; poetry, legends and stories. We are looking at Scottish novels and novelists.
North-east dialect and Lowland Scots are rich and interesting, and worth preserving, as is Scottish Gaelic heritage. We arrange occasional outings to places of interest.
These are some of the topics group members have suggested we look at:
Early Christianity in Scotland
The Scottish Reformation
North-East culture and industries
The Scottish Enlightenment
Scottish Poets and poetry
We enjoyed a visit to the Air Heritage Museum at Montrose last May and in October a visit to
the V and A in Dundee was also a very good day out.
