Notice 1: Travel Group, for your attention
Day trips and Holidays organized by the Travel committee are for all U3a members, there is no travel group to join as some members seem to believe, all are welcome.

The planned day trips to Oxford 18th April, Blenheim Palace 21st June and Sidmouth Music Festival 9th August are all going ahead although a few more places are still available. The trips to Monkton Elm Garden Centre followed by horse drawn barge on Tiverton canal on 28th May and St. Fagans and Castell Coch on 9th July still need more people to make them viable.

Also Tinsel and Turkey Weekend in Falmouth 6th-9th December will be going ahead although again few more places available.

A booking form and cheque payment are required for trips, the forms can be downloaded from the Travel group web page, and alternatively they can be picked up from Chipping Sodbury Tourist Information Office or Yate Pop in café.

You will not be contacted on receipt of your booking form and cheque unless the trip is full. Only once it is confirmed the trip is viable and all details required known will your cheque be cashed and you will be contacted.

Notice 2: AI group, Artificial Intelligence Courses in the Yate and Sodbury U3A

As many of you will already know, we are now running a regular 'Introduction to AI' course. The course runs for six weeks with each being for twelve members. The first two courses are underway and are being well received. Another two will start mid to late April, and we intend to keep running more courses for as long as there is demand.

On the course you will learn to use all the main AI tools and also discuss the wider societal issues involved. It is non-technical though you can use a phone or iPad or similar if you wish. We expect demand for places to be large as we all know that AI is going to be a big issue in the coming months and years. If this interests you then simply go to the Groups page on the U3A website and contact the course leader, David McAll, via the message link to go on the waiting list.

Notice 3: We will have our AGM and speaker meeting on the 19th of April

If you have not yet voted on our AGM, you can still do so through the online voting form.
