Easter 2012 -SANDOWN
This was our first holiday as a group and we went to Sandown on the Isle of Wight. Twenty five members came along and we had a lovely holiday, visited Cowes, Newport and Godshill, and were fortunate enough to have mainly dry weather. The holiday gave us all an opportunity to make new friends, enjoy ourselves and have fun.
May 2013 - CROMER
We took 43 members to Cromer in Norfolk for a five day break staying in a lovely hotel opposite the pier. We enjoyed two full day excursions and a little warm sunshine too. Everyone who came along said how much they enjoyed themselves and I am sure quite a few new friends were made during the holiday.
April 2015 -TENBY
31 members visited Tenby in South Wales for a five-day break at the Belgrave Hotel right on the seafront. The weather was lovely with sunshine every day, lovely food and very enjoyable outings. Everyone said how much they enjoyed themselves and said they were looking forward to another holiday next year.
April 2016 - BOURNEMOUTH
Our holiday to Bournemouth was really good, made even better by the beautiful weather whilst we were there. The hotel was very comfortable, great food, very friendly and helpful staff, and good facilities. Once again everyone wants to know when the next one is!
March 2017 - TORQUAY
The Derwent Hotel in Torquay was an excellent venue for our holiday in March. The facilities were very good and the food and staff excellent. We also had very good weather. Plimbley Travel from Wolverhampton looked after us very well and everyone had a really good time.
March 2018 - EASTBOURNE
The Cumberland Hotel, Eastbourne made us very welcome. The facilities and food were very good and the restaurant staff looked after us very well. We could have done with better weather but it didn't deter us from going out and about. A good holiday enjoyed by all.
June 2019 - NEWQUAY
We spent a very enjoyable, somewhat wet, five days in Newquay, Cornwall at the Barrowfield Hotel, which is near Tolcarne Beach, and a few minutes walk into the town centre. Hotel facilities were good, as was the food and the staff in the restaurant, but the entertainment could have been better. However, everyone enjoyed the break, and thanks to Steve our coach driver, we had very comfortable journeys and days out with InterChoice Holidays.
June 2021 - SHANKLIN
Our 2020 holiday to the Isle of Wight with Dunwood Travel had been cancelled twice so this was third time lucky. It was lovely to get away at last and I think on the whole we all enjoyed it and had lovely weather.
November 2021 - THURSFORD
Our 2-day trip to see the Thursford Christmas Extravaganza was amazing. Read more on the separate Thursford page.
August 2022 - BABBACOMBE
Our five-day holiday at the Babbacombe Hotel was very enjoyable, and arranged through InterChoice Travel. It was made even more special as two of our group celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary during the week, and we enjoyed a drink and shared a cake with then. Lovely hotel, food and staff. Great weather too.
May 2023- YORK
This holiday was entitled 'Yummy York' and it certainly was yummy. We spent five days at the Burn Hall Hotel, a few miles outside York, and visited a brewery, cheese making plant, chocolate house, had afternoon tea and a fish and chip lunch. No time for anything else, just eating. However, we all enjoyed the break with Plimbley Travel. Read more on the separate York page.
