Short Breaks
The Short Break Group coordinates at least one holiday each year, either to Europe or within the UK. We join existing tours with reputable companies; members book themselves on to the tours safe in the knowledge that other members will also be joining the trip. Single travellers can be matched up with each other if they wish in order to save paying the single supplement.
The first trip was in April 2023 to the Netherlands to see the tulips at Keukenhof, followed by a visit to Kew Gardens and Oxford in November with an overnight stay. The next break is a five day holiday to mid Wales in May 2024.
Additionally, there will be two day trips in the spring, both with Roberts Coach Tours, going from Hugglescote where there is free parking:
- Bath Saturday 13 April, £33
- Portmeirion Wednesday 1 May, £55 (including entrance)
Other trips will be decided on among the members. Occasional meetings are held to discuss destinations and allow members to get to know each other.
