The social aspect of groups is very important in the U3A. You can expect all our Interest/activity Groups to be welcoming, informal and friendly.

Some Groups meet in a member's home, while other Groups meet at various venues for indoor/outdoor activities. For groups that meet in venues, members contribute to room hire costs and refreshments. For groups that meet in members' homes, members sometimes give a small contribution to refreshments.

Members: When you join MADu3a you will be able to sign up for groups and attend monthly members' meetings and other events. To join a group, either contact the Group Leader by clicking the link on the relevant group web page or email the Groups' Coordinator via the contact us page on this website. The group leader will then keep you updated via email.

Alternatively, turn up at a monthly meeting (usually on the first Thursday of the month, at Melbourne Assembly Rooms) when you can speak to a Committee member about how to join a group. If you experience any difficulty logging-in or contacting a group leader, please email the Groups' Coordinator via the CONTACT page.
