Bookclub 1
Members Only.
The aim of the group is to encourage book lovers to read the chosen book before attending the monthly meeting where its merits (or otherwise) are discussed. A lively discussion inevitably follows when opinions vary greatly due to the diverse interests and personal preferences of individual members.
No literacy expertise is necessary, just a love of books and everyone's viewpoint is valid and always welcomed.
Recent books chosen included modern classics such as "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "All Quiet on the Western Front". We are also promised thrills with books by Michael Connelly, John Grisham and Larsson's "Girl with a Dragon Tattoo".
During the coffee and biscuit break we share book related news which usually leads to varied anecdotal tales and we discuss forthcoming talks and events.
All the titles are provided free by the library service and the group meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month.
This Group currently has vacancies for new members.
The Group meets at Ken's home at 2.00pm for approx. 2hrs.
