Join Us
Membership of the u3a is open to anyone who is retired or no longer in full-time employment. Our membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December each year.
Taster Sessions
If you’re interested but still not sure, why not come along to one of our General Meetings, held on the 2nd Friday of each month. You’ll be welcomed by one of our volunteer Meeters and Greeters who’ll “show you the ropes” and answer any questions you may have. You can enjoy a tea or coffee while chatting with other members before relaxing back to listen to one of our interesting talks.
Alternatively, please contact our Groups Co-ordinator to arrange to come along to one of our Interest/Activity Groups. Some of our Groups meet in Member’s homes so taster sessions in these Groups is not available.
How to Join
To join our u3a there’s a one-off joining fee of £8.00. Additionally, our Subscription Fee is £15.00 for each year starting January 1st. A reduced Subscription fee of £7.50 is payable between 1st September and 31st December.
You can join by :
Downloading our New Member Application Form, fill it in by hand and either post it to the Assistant Membership Secretary or bring it to one of our General Meetings where one of our volunteers will be happy to take your payment.
You can pay by BACS (account details are on the application form), Credit/Debit card, Cheque or Cash.
Once you become a member of our u3a you’ll receive a Membership Card giving you on-line access to all of our Interest/Activity Groups and membership benefits.
Photographs may be taken at LSA u3a and Group events and used for News and publicity purposes.
