Lytham St Anne's

Welcome

We are a friendly group of like-minded people with a wide variety of interests and especially welcome new members.

Lytham St. Anne's is a coastal town in the Northwest of England, near to the very well known holiday resort of Blackpool.

The general surrounding area is called The Fylde of Lancashire.

Lytham originated from Domesday Book times as a small village named Lidun.

St. Anne's is an Edwardian era created town 3 miles west along the coast. They merged officially in the 1920's.

St. Anne's is sometimes referred to as St Anne's-on-Sea.

The town is perhaps most well known for the international Open Golf Championship recently held at Royal Lytham St Anne's in summer 2012.

In 2012 our U3A proudly celebrated 25 years.

We have over 400 current members, and the one-off cost to join is presently £8 and the current yearly subscription is £12.
