Lytham St Anne's

Archaeology

The Archaeology Group normally meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except August and December). We meet in the Parish Rooms on Headroomgate Road at 1:45 for a prompt 2:00pm start.

The talks are sometimes by archaeology specialists, with some talks by our group members or from other local U3A Archaeology Groups,

We also do occasional trips to places of archaeological interest, including historic towns, museums, and field trips to archaeological sites.

Some members also attend Annual Archaeology/History Conferences/Events, e.g. at Lancaster University, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, Salford University, and the Fylde History Network.

Contact Steve King, Tel 01253 723035 (please leave a message ifyou get the answerphone) for further information.
