Committee News

Your committee met for the first time on Friday 19th June via ZOOM. For some of us this was the first time that we had used this method of meeting so it was exciting but a little bit disorganised at first. But we coped. Among the decisions that we made were that we would continue to post the Newsletter to those without Emails despite the cost for the time being. The current edition is for the Summer and then there will be an Autumn edition later in the year.

We heard that there are 393 members of U3A of which 41 are new. Some groups continue to meet via social networks. But most are still on hold. Dependent on Government guidelines we hope to have our first meeting outside lockdown in November and speakers have been booked for both November and December. In addition we hope to have a special warm welcome before our Christmas meeting after this very difficult time.

Another committee via Zoom has been arranged for July 24th.

From April 2020 Colin Bond took the role of Lytham St. Annes U3A Newsletter Editor. If you have any item which you think would be interesting reading to other members please email Colin at
