Mahjong

Mah Jong is a game with origins in China, played with 144 tiles - sometimes 148 - having a similarity to the card game Rummy - collecting runs, suits and groups of the same or similar tiles. Different to Internet Mah Jong and more exciting with a good mixture of skill and a bit of luck. New members are always welcome, knowledge or experience of the game are not necessary - many of us were absolute beginners when we started and we all continue to learn. Come along to find out if you like the game and most importantly the group. We meet at the local Workmen's Club on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm, not the 2nd Wednesday of the month due the the Monthly meeting. There is no room hire charge but it is requested that we purchase tea, coffee or other beverage and we are able to take along our own cake and or biscuits.

We look forward to welcoming new members and seeing existing members who have not been able to join us for whatever reason. Please contact Juliet for any other information by clicking on the envelope icon on this page.

In the meantime, keep well and safe.
