Days Out
This group is temporarily suspended and there are thoughts about its future.
In the past we have enjoyed a number of trips out and joint activities.
We all enjoyed a New Years lunch at La Pergola in early January 2020.
Ten of us had a good time solving a mystery at a Murder/Mystery event at Minstead lodge in November.
We enjoyed a wonderful conducted tour of Lyndhurst on Tuesday October 1st conducted by our own Angela Trend followed by lunch at the Waterloo.
We visited Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey on September10th.
We enjoyed a conducted tour of St Nicolas church, Brockenhurst and the church at Boldre on July 17th with lunch in the Red Lion, Boldre inbetween the two vivits.
Some of us had a really enjoyable day trip to Greenwich on June 19th.
19 of us visited Padua, Vicenza, Mantova and surrounding regions near Venice from May 2 -7 2019. We had a wonderful time there.You can read a report of our trip on another page here and see some photos.
Some of us visited Eling Tide mill in March and April.
We enjoyed a joint new years lunch on January 24th with the luncheon group at La Pergola.
Following on from the success of our holiday in Ireland in May last year, it was decided to have another holiday this year. Steve and Rosemary Timms have done a lot of research and found a wonderful tour being offered by Riviera Travel to Italy called "Hidden Italy - Padova,Vicenza and Mantova" described by Andrew Graham – Dixon.
Bookings have been finalised for May2 - 7th.
Various evening theatre trips have been planned recently:
Some of us are going to see the Per Piacere Chamber Orchestra on November 24th and "A brief history of Christmas " - 600 years of Christmas music on December 19th.
Other theatre trips are being planned for the New Year.
