Bridge - Duplicate
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. We start at 2 pm and play at the coordinator's house.
We usually have 3 or 4 tables, but recently have lost a couple of members, so new members are very welcome.
You play with the same partner all evening. The cards are dealt and put into boards which are then passed around the tables so everyone plays the same hands, though not necessarily always NS or EW. The scores are recorded on travellers and then compared. It is interesting because you never know how well you have done until the final scores are revealed. Sometimes you think you have done well only to find that by comparison to the others you have not. Of course the reverse happens too. After an evening of poor hands you can find you have done well. It all adds to the interest.
