This usually takes place between the rush hours and we often call somewhere near to lunch after the walk.
The group receives an email a week before the visit to give details of the venue.

Contact is Colin Martin.
Family History
Thu Feb 27th The Family History Group meets in the upstairs back room of the Village Hall on the fourth Thursday of the month from 10 till 12.

We usually have a feature for the first part of the meeting, such as a presentation or talk by a member. Then a break for refreshment.
As we are able to access Wi-Fi, we then help each other with our research.
If you are not a member of the group but would like to find out about family history and how you get started, please come along and join us.

Notes for last year are on a sub page under ‘A brief look at the Family History Group’s activities in 2019’. Please go to the Family History Group page for this.

Mick is a local lad from Southend who plays Baritone Saxophone. We have seen him several times and he has always been excellent.
Wed Apr 1st This evening we’re going to the Belvedere to see Dave Browning’s Jazz Cats.
Dave is a pianist we have all seen several times and his band play the kind of 30s Dixieland jazz associated with Eddie Condon and Wild Bill Davidson. It should prove to be an exhilarating evening’s music.
Wed Apr 8th The Belvedere club is hosting Georgina Jackson’s Big Band this evening. She is an outstanding vocalist and has appeared at the club with other people’s bands in the past but tonight she will be there with her own. It’s an evening to look forward to.
