We are pleased to announce Fox, Wiggle & Sass have been booked for this event.
Based in North Essex, Fox Wiggle and Sass are a live vocal harmony trio who travel the length and breadth of the UK to entertain with their eclectic, swinging feel good music. Their repertoire spans the decades with classic 1940's big band numbers, to their 'Modern Swing' set, giving you the chance to dance the night away.
The group have performed all over the UK for an incredible variety of events; from Vintage festivals to Corporate Award Ceremonies - not to mention the Christmas extravaganzas! The group provide all their own equipment for all performances, including PA, lights and background music for in between performances, should your event require it.

Grand Flower Festival at St Mary's Saffron Walden on 23 - 26 August 2019, 10-6, Sunday 12-6
However, it is not just the Flower Festival. Saffron Walden is a fine Medieval market town with many independent shops, very good range of eating places and places of historic interests such as Bridge End Gardens, The various mazes, the Museum and of course Audley end house; on Saturday there is a small but very traditional market
The Flower Festival would be the "icing on the cake" of a day out in the town! If you would like more information do please contact Chris Knight, fund raising organiser for St Mary's

|Bird Watching & Wildlife Group|
|Wed Aug 21st||The Bird Watching & Wildlife Group makes visits to reserves on each third Wednesday of the month.|
This usually takes place between the rush hours and we often call somewhere near to lunch after the walk.
The group receives an email a week before the visit to give details of the venue.

|Mon Aug 19th||The Book Group is meets on the THIRD MONDAY at 2-30 in the Small Hall of the Village Hall (door opposite the children’s play area).|
The Group meets to review the book read the previous month and to collect their book for the month ahead.
The meeting lasts up to two hours with the essential refreshments.

|Thu Jul 25th||The Family History Group meets in the upstairs back room of the Village Hall on the fourth Thursday of the month from 10 till 12.|
We usually have a feature for the first part of the meeting, such as a presentation or talk by a member. Then a break for refreshment.
As we are able to access Wi-Fi, we then help each other with our research.
If you are not a member of the group but would like to find out about family history and how you get started, please come along and join us.

|Wed Aug 21st||Sylvie Barnett has organised a visit to Maldon Museum on our behalf on Wednesday 21 August, as this museum is closed on Tuesdays.|
The cost of entry is £2.00 each.
Maldon Museum is situated to the left of the entrance to the car park at Promenade Park. If driving, access is gained through the tall brick pillars to the pay and display car park. The only available toilets are in this car park.
No refreshments are sold at this museum.
To be ready for the start of the visit at 14.00, I would like to suggest that we meet in the car park at 13.50.
Travel will be by car.
Can you please let me know if you would like to go on this visit, if you will be requiring a lift or if you would be willing to give a lift to 1 or 2 of our members.
