We are people interested in visiting nature reserves and admiring the wildlife. We hope to have guided visits to nature reserves in the area and perhaps even further afield wherever possible.
Dates and times - visits to nature sites will vary depending on wardens' availability. So watch this page for further details.
Click on the link on the top right hand corner to contact the Group Leader Yvonne Zane and your details will be added to the email list and emails will be sent to keep you up-to-date.
We have been to Amwell HMWT, Rye Mead Nature Reserves RSPB and Stockers Lake and Panshangar reserve. The Sandy RSPB Lodge. We recently visited The Wetlands in Barnes and also Tewinbury Orchard and subsequently returned there to see the badgers at night.
We meet at venues or share car lifts to them.
During Our Wildlife visit to Hilfield Park Reservoir Nature Reserve we had the chance to see Bird Ringing and we saw birds at close quarters. Click the link to see the photos.
We have been to Stanborough and had a guided tour with Jenny who also took us to the small Lemsford reserve nearby. We had the special treat of watching green sandpipers feeding on shrimps under the watercress growing naturally in the chalk stream.
We were lucky to have one of our members who is a friend of Stockers Lake to show us round the nature park.
We have recently visited The Wetland Centre in Barnes, Panshangar and the Wilston Reservoir in Tring.
