We are pleased to advise members that our Monthly Meetings are now "Face to Face" again at Metropolitan on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the usual time of 10.00 AM. For those Members who cannot attend in person, the Talk/Entertainment will be broadcast on Zoom
Details of the talk will be published in our monthly Newsletter and also on this page. You will be able to enjoy a live talk, ask questions and get u3a updates as before.

Thomas Kendrick (1881–1972) was central to the British Secret Service from its beginnings through to the Second World War. Under the guise of "British Passport Officer," he ran spy networks across Europe.
Helen is one of our favourite speakers. She is extremely well known as one of the UKs leading historians
Dr Helen Fry has written numerous books on World War Two with particular reference to intelligence, prisoners of war and the secret war, but also the 10,000 Germans who fought for Britain. Her acclaimed book The Walls Have Ears was in the Daily Mail’s Top Books of the Year for War (2019). She has written over 25 books – including The London Cage about Britain’s secret wartime interrogation

Many thanks to Marilyn Belson for alerting me to the fact that they are going to
stop the performances of Prince of Egypt early next year and we had already
moved our booking to 28th April.
I have now spoken to Theresa Baker and she has managed to get us a slot on
Thursday 6th January 2022 for the matinee performance.
I can only apologise for this late change.
