Whitchurch Shropshire

Naturalists

The U3A Naturalists Group is a small Group consisting of 10 members. The Group meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. The 2nd Tuesday of each month is devoted to field trips, when we go out and about locally looking at Pond Life, searching for Wild Orchids, Bird Watching and Lizard Spotting to mention a few. We meet at 10.00am and have finished by 12.30pm.

On the 4th Tuesday of each month the Group has undertaken a 12 month Bird Survey at Greenfields Nature Reserve, Whitchurch, working with the Shropshire Wild Life Trust. We commence at 10.00am and have finished by 11.00am. We are a lively bunch with everyone contributing and all willing to share their knowledge. We are always looking for new members and anyone joining would be very welcome. All you need is a sense of humour a good pair of wellies and binoculars if you have them.
