Poetry
We normally meet at 14.00 on the 4th Thursday of the month in the Meeting Room at Llanyravon Methodist Church, Cwmbran.
Each meeting is based on a particular aspect of poetry, such as verse form, genre, poet, etc.
Members are encouraged to present and read an example for that week (e.g. Villanelle, Ballad, Christmas poetry, etc). This may be the member's own verse.
Some background to the particular example is also presented.
Following each reading the group will then discuss the poem; how it made them feel, what the poet was attempting to express, etc.
