Welcome to our website

Welcome to our website

We are an organisation whose aim is to provide opportunities for our members to pursue subjects and activities which they find interesting.

We have a number of interest groups which are run by the members. New groups are added when members express an interest in a topic that they wish to pursue or share.

To find out more about our current interest groups click on "Our Groups" at the top of the page

Each month our members receive an illustrated newsletter which details activities that have taken place and which suggests future plans.

To find out more about our newsletter click on "Newsletter" at the top of the page.

Day-to day management is carried out by a committee elected at our Annual General Meeting in March.

To see a list of committee members click on the link "Committee" on the right.

Towards the end of each month we hold a general meeting at 10.30 in the Sanctuary at Llanyravon Methodist Church, Cwmbran. (Click on Events at the top of the page to find out the actual meeting date.)

We are always happy to see new faces at our meetings, so why not come along and meet some friendly and interesting people. There will be no pressure on you to join our u3a, but you would be made very welcome if you did so.

Feel free to explore our site further by clicking on the header texts above.

What is u3a?

u3a is a UK-wide movement of locally-run interest groups.

Across the UK there are over 1,000 u3as with more than 450,000 members.

u3a provides opportunities, both local and national, for its members to enjoy a wide range of interests and activities.

Local members have complete choice over the interests/ activities they want to pursue.
