History
A new History group will be started in September 2020 by Malcolm Hall.
The purpose is to examine the past in order to gain a better understanding of how it has influenced our country and the world today, and to question and challenge historical records. As such it will be unrestricted and can include local, national and international content. Eventually we may be able to include visits as well as guest speakers as they become available.
It is planned that the group will start in September as a Zoom meeting until there is a need and an opportunity to change. The proposed date and time is the 4th Thursday of the month at 10am, starting on 24th September. However this could be changed if the date/time proves to be inconvenient. Initially sessions are planned to last for one hour - but on the understanding that they may over-run.
There will be a preliminary Zoom meeting on Thursday 17th September for all interested members where we can discuss content and format. Please message Malcolm Hall using the link on the right of this page to receive log in details for the meeting. If you are interested but cannot join the preliminary meeting, please feel free to send your thoughts to Malcolm using the same link.
