Redditch U3A Rambling Group
Group leader: Joan Davies
The group meet on the first Wednesday morning of the month. We start at a pre-arranged pub car park and usually walk for between four and five miles, with a break for coffee.
Each month a different person leads the ramble which has been checked beforehand. This means we have a varied programme.
At the end of the walk - which usually takes two to two and a half hours, we return to the pub and most of us take lunch, and perhaps a small drink! We are also joined by some of the walkers' partners which makes a convivial end to our ramble.

|Dates for your Diary|
|Wed Jun 5th||Meet at Crabbs Cross car park on Evesham Road by 9.00 for car sharing or meet at 10.00 in the car park of the Bay Horse Pub, 29 Hartlebury Road, Stourport, DY13 9JA. According to the AA route finder it takes half an hour to get there – the journey is 17 miles. I’ve allowed an hour to take in the traffic at that time in the morning.|
The above walk goes over the common, then following the River Severn and then a spell on canal paths. There are no stiles and the distance is approximately 4 miles.
|Wed Jul 3rd||Meet at Crabbs Cross car park on Evesham Road to leave by 9.15 for car sharing or meet at 10.00 in the car park of the Gardeners Arms, The Strand, Charlton, Pershore WR10.|
This is a lovely walk through beautiful countryside and villages, with one upward slope and 7 stiles, mostly low ones. On doing the recce walk we had to alter our route due to a missing stile but we believe the walk is still approximately 4 miles long. Despite the number of stiles, it is well worth doing.
