Visits Group
The aim of our group is to visit places of particular interest in the Greater London area with like-minded people
We are an enthusiastic group of people who enjoy experiencing the multitude of historical and architectural gems which London has to offer. We are now in our fourth year and still have a long list of suggested places to visit so looks as though we’ll be around for several more years!
The success of our group depends upon its members volunteering to organise the visits. Our visits are very diverse in their nature and hopefully appeal to a wide range of interests. Recent visits have included a tour of the Royal Albert Hall, Red House & Hall Place, Marlborough House, Florence Nightingale Museum and the Hare Krishna Temple. We are looking forward to a full schedule of visits over the coming months with members organising visits to the Royal Opera House, Fishmongers’ Hall, Kew Steam Museum and the 1940s experience in Bushey.
At least one visit is scheduled for each month and last a half or full day - costs are variable and generally include an optional lunch or afternoon tea together. We usually meet up at Finchley Road and travel together on public transport, whenever possible.
To join us, please contact the Study Groups Coordinator who will forward your details to the group leader. Information on forthcoming visits are generally by email.
