Northwood & District

Architecture, Buildings and Places

We have been lucky in maintaining our usual high standard of speakers at our monthly meetings held every third Monday morning of the month. The programme is now well planned until the end of the year with some new speakers and welcome returnees.

Our main meeting is held on every third Monday at 10.30am for up to two hours Meetings are open to all U3A members as is membership of this group.

New members to our group are most welcome. If you would like to join, please just come along to one of our regular monthly meetings and make yourself known at our reception desk. Alternatively, please contact the group leader through the branch website.

As we are no longer able to meet together at Fairfield Church, we will continue to hold virtual meetings using Zoom

Our speakers are now quite used to using this platform and the feedback from ABP members to date has been very positive.

A user guide for Zoom is available for new users on the U3A website

Our first 2 Zoom meetings had over 150 members joining each session.

A monthly invitation to each meeting will be sent out during the week before our meeting to all ABP members. This will provide links and access codes for members to join the Zoom meeting.

As we do not currently know when we will be able to resume our meetings in Fairfield Church, we plan to hold monthly meetings using Zoom until further notice, including a meeting in December.

We have numerous house groups. Do please talk to us if you are interested in joining a small house group that decides the ‘how’, ‘where’ and ‘when’ for themselves in terms of topics and visits.

Please contact the study groups coordinator if you require further information who will forward your enquiry to the group leader
