Architecture, Buildings and Places
Architecture Buildings and Places Group
We have been lucky in maintaining our usual high standard of speakers at our monthly meetings held every third Monday morning of the month at Fairfield and the programme is now well planned until the end of the year with some new speakers and welcome returnees.
New members to our group are most welcome. If you would like to join, please just come along to one of our regular monthly meetings and make yourself known at our reception desk. Alternatively, please contact the group leader through the branch website.
Our main meeting is held on every third Monday in the month at Fairfield Church at 10.30am for up to two hours - doors open 10.00. Meetings are open to all U3A members as is membership of this group. Refreshments are available after the talk and are served at about 11.40. We ask for a donation of £1 at each meeting to cover refreshment costs and our speakers’ fees. Please try to be seated in the Hall by 10.30.
PLEASE NOTE There will be no meetings in August or December 2020.
We continue to attract new members and our paper total now stands at over 215 with an attendance at our monthly meetings ranging from 65 to 85 members joining us. We also arrange an annual summer trip in August. Last year we had a very successful tour of Regency Cheltenham as well as a “Mudlarking” experience along the Thames foreshore at Putney.
We have numerous house groups, including one that now that meets regularly at Fairfield. Do please talk to us if you are interested in joining a small house group that decides the ‘how’, ‘where’ and ‘when’ for themselves in terms of topics and visits.
Please use the envelope at foot of screen to contact the Group Leader.
