Croquet

The Croquet Group meet every Thursday morning starting in April and finishing late September. This is all very weather dependant! Last year we only missed one Thursday due to rain.
The only flat piece of ground we could find in the area is in West Witton opposite the Wensleydale Heifer. The local clubs are not interested in us! We play a version of Croquet adapted to our group and the ground on which we play, and pay £2.00 per week to cover the cost of mowing, done by the Parish Council. We were lucky to be given two quite old but very good quality Croquet sets of four mallets in each. This has kept us going, whilst a few people have purchased their own mallets. New members are always welcome.
