Horncastle

Edible Gardening

The group meets 2.00 - 4.00pm in the Committee Room at the Stanhope Hall on the 1st Monday of each month from February to November.

The group is made up of gardeners with experience, gardeners with little experience and of course those in-between.
Our objectives are to impart knowledge, learn and generally help each other with the growing of vegetables, herbs ,soft and top fruit whether it be allotments, garden or patio.

Needless to say topics range from soil type and condition through to harvest and storage all aspects are discussed
The discussions frequently provides answers to questions you would never think of asking, as well as producing knowledgeable, and often innovative, responses to questions that you did think to ask!
The wide variety of garden sizes represented and the varying levels of experience and expertise within the membership make for some insightful debates, candid observations and disarmingly practical suggestions

As the group only meets once a month, group members were asked to bring with them a selection of photographs (in digital form) so any problems that might arise between meetings could be discussed. This has proved to be a very popular addition to our meetings.

Interested in joining why not call Robin Wilmshurst "Group Leader" 07729 875937 a warm welcome awaits you.
