Art and Painting
PAINTING AND ART GROUP
No special expertise required for this group, just supply your own materials and enjoy painting/drawing with fellow enthusiasts. All mediums welcome - oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, ink, pastel or any other medium you like. We currently have twelve members with varied experience and at the moment plenty of space for more. (In future, depending on support, we may have to limit numbers.)

Meetings are planned for the 1st Thursday in each month, outside at various venues from April to September or October, depending on the weather. Winter arrangements tba, but possibly at the Union Church in Heathfield from November through until April.
WINTER/SPRING UPDATE 2024
Throughout the winter the group have been meeting at the Union Church in Heathfield on the 1st Thursday of each month, we we would like to thank them for their support. We have covered subjects such as Autumn foliage, Christmas, Birds, Spring flowers, or whatever takes an artist's fancy - monthly suggestions are just that, and members are entirely free to follow their own inclinations on what they want to paint, draw, etc. From April, we will be painting 'Au Plein Aire' or, to put it another way, outdoors. We are hoping for some warmer weather soon and some sunshine would be welcome. Our first outdoor sortie in April will be to the the gardens at Ashburnam Place. Member's efforts will be on the U3a Facebook page in due course.
