Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance
Dukeries u3a members' chosen charity is the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. Most meetings we have a bring and buy stall to raise funds for this very worthwhile charity. Up to date we have raised more than £3000 to help their important work:
We are a charity that relies entirely on community support to keep saving lives across Lincs & Notts, so simply by staying up to date with our work, you are helping to make a difference!
Despite Christmas and the festive season ahead, our crew will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we can be by your side when you need us most.
In November 22, we responded to 112 missions, including 5 incidents involving motorcyclists. Overall, the helicopter attended 45 missions and we transferred patients to 9 different hospitals across the region and beyond. We transfused 15 units of blood products and 6% of our patients were children.
