The Dukeries U3A was inaugurated in 1992. It caters for members from Ollerton and the surrounding areas, including Mansfield, Retford, Worksop, and other places in North Nottinghamshire.
Our activities are many and varied. You can see exactly what these are by clicking the ‘groups’ button on the menu bar above.
The Dukeries U3A provides opportunities for people from all backgrounds, who are either retired or semi-retired. The aim of the group is to improve the quality of our lives by sharing social, leisure and learning experiences with other like-minded people.
The group meet at the Jubilee Hall, Wellow Road, Ollerton, on the third Monday of each month at 1.00p.m At this monthly meeting you can meet other members and enjoy presentations from guest speakers as well as finding out about groups and special events that are taking place.
Our group is relatively small with a membership of around one hundred and fifty people.
You are always very welcome to come and join us and you are sure to find that at least one of the special interest groups has something to offer you. There is no limit to the number of group activities that you can take part in and we always welcome ideas for new interest groups. Many of the groups are free to join, though some have a modest charge to cover the running expenses.
If you would like to try us out, come along to one of our General Meetings on the third Monday of the month. You will be welcomed as a visitor for a while, but you would be expected to join on your third visit. At the present time, our annual membership fee is £17
