More about Dukeries u3a
Are you in your senior years and about to retire, or recently retired, working full or part-time or just find yourself with time on your hands? Maybe you've recently moved into the area or your circumstances have changed and you'd like to make some new friends or take up a new hobby or explore an interest with like-minded people? Then the Dukeries u3a may be the answer.
If you would like to sample what Dukeries u3a have to offer, you can attend up to 2 monthly or activity group meetings for a nominal sum of £1 each time. Our annual membership fee is £20 which will take you up to 31 March 2025. Members of other u3as can join Dukeries u3a as associate members for £10. Members have access to all of our activity/interest groups, social activities, monthly newsletter and our monthly members’ meeting where a visiting speaker speaks on a matter of interest followed by refreshments. We also hold informal coffee mornings at Ambleside Centre, New Ollerton especially for new members and visitors to find out more about us. Further opportunity is available to Dukeries u3a members to join in an activity group run by other local u3a’s who participate in the North Notts Neighbourhood Group (NNNG). To enable the widest participation and opportunity to their members, the NNNG have agreed that their members may, where space permits, participate in each other’s interest groups. As well as Dukeries u3a these include Ashfield u3a, Mansfield & District u3a, Forest Town u3a, Rainworth & District u3a, Sherwood u3a, Sutton in Ashfield u3a, Warsop u3a and Worksop u3a.
