Wild Flowers

Our wild flower group in 2023 made seven field trips predominately to Derbyshire identifying over 80 species of flowers and quite a few grasses, bushes and trees. The visits included Hartington Meadows, Lathkill dale and Solomon’s Temple with 60 species identified in just a couple of hours. We will visit these again together with other sites one of which will be Bellamy’s Bank, Monsal Dale. The dates of visits will be at slightly different times of the summer months to see if we can identify different species.
I have thoughts of sunny days out on the highways and byways looking at wild flowers, so here is our summer programme for 2024.
