Our enthusiastic group of 12 has been running for 10 years. We are a sociable group and meetings take place in member's homes. We try to vary the meetings as much as possible and we take it in turns to act as the leader. After everyone has had a chance to talk about their recent activities, we have a break for refreshments. Then the leader of that day chooses an activity or a topic. Sometimes we read and translate stories or articles, sometimes we play spoken or German board games, or a variety of other activities designed to enhance our spoken and aural German skills.
The group has members with varying abilities in the knowledge of the German language and we help each other out with the use of dictionaries, etc, if we get stuck.
Attendance at our meetings varies quite a bit, depending on holidays/family commitments, etc. If you have some previous knowledge of German and would like to spend a pleasant afternoon with like-minded people with an interest in the German language and the German way of life, please contact me.
