Groups

Groups meet in various venues ranging from member's homes to local halls/rooms and are informal and friendly.

Members may join any group, provided that the group has places available.

Non members may enjoy a total of two taster sessions for free. To continue, they must then join the Macclesfield U3A.

There is generally no additional payment other than for field trips, materials and a small contribution towards refreshments. The level of contribution is agreed within each group. Members of Groups that meet in halls and sports facilities may well be asked for an additional payment to cover hire costs.

NEW GROUPS
We are always keen to introduce new groups. Any member who has a particular interest and feels they would like to share that interest with others should consider starting a group. Financial help can be given for an initial start up and existing group leaders can also provide advice.

Members form interest groups. All are volunteers, no-one is paid. No qualifications are sought or offered, enjoyment and learning for its own sake is the prime motive.
