Card Making
Leader: | Joy Kewney |
Meeting Day: | 3rd Thursday of every month 10am till noon. |
Venue: | Sessions held in the Leader’s home. |
The group have been part of the U3A for over 15 years. Over that time, we have made cards using die’s, embossing folders, distress inks, water colours, stencils, embellishments, backing sheets.
We have made Easel, Shaker, 4twist Easel, Origami, Quilling, Diamond shape, Triple box, Iris folding Teabag folding, Surprise box and Lamination cards to name a few.
Card making is very therapeutic and rewarding. Where else can you, in two hours, start from nothing and finish with something which is unique to you. To go home with a card you have made and there will never be another like it.
Card making does not have to be expensive. We all share equipment, knowledge and there are a number of household items which can be used.
The group is very welcoming. There is much laughter. So if you feel the need to express your creativity please make contact and you will be most welcome.
