At their most recent meeting, the Japanese Culture group had a professional Ikebana teacher give a Zoom demonstration on the art of Japanese flower arranging. Download the Ikebana video. The teacher was dressed in a traditional Japanese Kimono, which made the demonstration look even more authentic. If anyone is interested in learning more about Ikebana, they are welcome to contact Sachiko. Sachiko has her own website : https://www.kimonoandflowers.com/, & her personal email address is firstname.lastname@example.org

Our post-Christmas Festive Lunch, superbly organised by Sheila Frost was held at Bletchingley Golf Club on 10th January 2020. We decided to return to Bletchingley following the success of the Summer Lunch and we were not disappointed.
Over 100 of our members came along and we started the occasion with an aperitif and chatted with friends old and new. The food lived up to our expectations and we tucked in to a delicious lunch served by Tracey and the her team at the club.
A fun quiz prepared by our regular quiz master Phil Wright (which some of us struggled with!) challenged our brains during lunch, but gave us some great talking points. Well done to the brainy table who won.
It was wonderful to have such a great response from our members and to see so many of you getting together and showing your support for our wonderful U3A. Click on the pictures below to see them full size.
