COUTRY DANCING
This group meets every 3rd Wednesday at 2pm Shirland Miners Welfare on Clay Street.
Next Meeting: Wednesday 17 April at Shirland Miners Welfare.
Following Meeting: Wednesday 15 May as above.
In March, Graham got us dancing around again, starting with a few figures we knew, and
some we didn’t. It’s tricky dancing with your hands behind your back. We dipped and dived,
weaved about, and went round the Jubilee roundabout to the tavern in the town with Sir
Roger de Coverley, quite often in time with the music, but not always. Being led a merry
dance comes to mind.
Angie will be keeping order on April 17th. 2pm at Shirland Miner’s Welfare. Knock on the
window round the side, if the door is shut. Do come and get those blood corpuscles moving
again. No experience necessary.
