Chess

The chess group meets at 2pm on the first and third Wednesday ot the month at the Light Railway Function Room in Hythe.

We are not experts, we simply enjoy playing chess against each other in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Possibly you have played in the past but not for some while? Or maybe you normally only play against family and friends and would welcome an opportunity to play against a slightly wider range of opponents? If so then we would be delighted to welcome you.

The group is open to all members regardless of playing ability or experience and complete beginners are especially welcome. We can show you the basics of the game and you would quickly start playing and improving.

Chess is a fascinating game which can be played for fun and enjoyed at any level.

Why not give it a try?
