We are a friendly group ringing handbells and handchimes from staff notation, mainly in the 2-octave repertoire, with some 12-bell music on occasion. Joint membership of this and the Friday group may be possible.
Each academic year Sawston U3A hires the hall for our use for two 10-session terms (Winter & Spring) and 5 sessions for half of the Summer term. We ring during most other weeks in the year, for which we pay our own way (£1 per head per session). We welcome new ringers. For those with no ringing experience or who are unfamiliar with reading music, if there is enough demand I will try to arrange a one-term beginners course.
