Snooker

The Snooker Group started under the umbrella of “Indoor Sports” alongside badminton and table tennis, meeting on Thursday afternoons in the Llanfair Village Hall (Neuadd Eleanor). A technical lack of space for its name on the website meant that Snooker was often missed by people searching for it, and by 2024 membership had fallen away. Now that the Snooker Group has reasserted itself under its own name, it is hoped that numbers will once again grow. The group meeting time is still 2-4pm every Thursday afternoon and all level of players are very welcome – from the relatively experienced, to beginners thinking of experimenting with a potential new hobby. There are two tables in the hall, and several other time slots besides Thursdays may be available. Kitchen facilities and Wi-Fi are available, as well as opportunities for darts and table tennis. A fee of £2.50 per session covers room and equipment hire. For more information, contact Phil Webb
