The format of the Regional Quarterly Meeting on Thursday 20th July was changed slightly. To start, all u3a members had an opportunity to observe the decisions made by the Regional Support Team (see Agenda below).
The Regional Support Team (RST) consists of the Regional Committee Members (Trustees), the Regional Support Volunteers and the North East Region Trustee.
The aim of the Regional Quarterly Meetings is to enable members to network, be informed and have some fun.

VOICE
VOICE aims to bring together citizens, businesses and suppliers in the region to explore what is needed in terms of developing or re-design products and services to support healthy ageing. All of which is underpinned by the latest research and in ageing and longevity and advances in technology.
The programme aims to support the creation of products and services that we’d all like to ensure that we can live our lives in the way we want to, enjoy good health, stay connected to the people and things we love and care about throughout our lives.
By sharing our insights as citizens on what we enjoy, what we want to do, what currently doesn’t work and frustrates us, we can help businesses and innovators to design better products and services.
As this region has a real history of inventiveness and entrepreneurship we are in a really good place to support local businesses to grow and create jobs, as well as developing good products that work well and that people will want to use.
