The French Conversation Advanced Group meet monthly from 14.30 to 16.30 on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month |
We start each session with informal chat about events in our own lives and matters of topical interest - so get to know each other quite well! We then generally watch clips direct from www.francetvinfo.fr and discuss any issues raised by the reports. Sometimes we read articles aloud and discuss the content.
The group is coordinated by one person rather than led, with shared responsibility amongst members for providing material and maintaining conversation.
You will need a good degree of fluency to participate in conversation, which is held in French, and the ability to follow and discuss the newscasts.
The venue rotates between the homes of those members who are able to host, so may be in Lymington, Sway, or Milford-on-Sea.
