New and Existing Members
We are always happy to welcome new members. Our membership year runs from 1 March to the end of February. This allows you to attend our monthly meetings and TED Talks, and to join as many interest groups (subject to their having space) as you like. You will be put on the mailing list to receive a copy of the magazine published by the Third Age Trust (unless you opt out), as well as our own Newsletter. If you have an e-mail address, you will be sent a password to give you access to the Members Only area of this website.
The easiest way to join is to click at top right for our application form. Print it and fill out your details, then send it to our Membership Secretary at the address given on the form, together with your cheque for £20 (or £10 if you are joining between 1 September and end February).
The application form includes a Gift Aid Declaration. If you are a UK tax-payer, we can claim back from HMRC 25p for each £1 of your subscription, which is a great help to us. Please do complete the Gift Aid Declaration if you qualify as a UK tax-payer.
Another way to join is to come to one of our monthly meeting (details on the Events page), where our Membership Secretary will let you have you an application pack. Alternatively, e-mail the Membership Secretary through Contact Membership Secretary or telephone on 01425 616479.
Once you have joined, you will be invited to the next New Members' coffee morning/afternoon tea. Contact New Members Co-ordinator. But you can join a group (subject to there being a space) as soon as you have your membership card by contacting the relevant group leader. You can send them an e-mail by clicking on the link in the Groups page or by ‘phoning them: telephone numbers are given in the password-protected Members Only area of this website. Alternatively, you can contact the Interest Group Coordinator by selecting on the CONTACTS page.
Alternatively, print the Application Form Complete it and scan in the completed form.
Then Contact Completed Form and attach your Application Form or Standing Order Form etc. to your email. (The system will go to your default email program. e.g. google mail or Microsoft edge or LIVE MAIL etc.)
If you wish to send by post Contact Membership Secretary for an address.
Renewal membership is just £15 per year per person, payable on the 1st of March. You would not believe how helpful it is for us if you renew by Standing Order! Remember, the people who carry out administrative tasks for Lymington U3A are all unpaid volunteers, so do please make our lives easier. To renew your subscription, click at top right for the Standing Order form and Gift Aid Declaration.
If you have any difficulty in setting up a Standing Order, your bank should be able to help you.
