Music Appreciation

If you are reading this page you are probably one of the millions of people in this country who follow its most popular pastime - Listening to Music.

The Music Appreciation Group of the Lowestoft U3A has been running for over 25 years now and provides members with the opportunity to widen their knowledge and understanding of many different types of music. Programmes are presented each week by members on Thursday mornings from 10.00am at the St Margaret's Church Centre, Hollingsworth Road, Lowestoft.

Providing the music is on vinyl, cassette, reel to reel, CD or MP3 digital it can be played! We also have facilities for projecting music videos or DVD's on the big screen!. A CD library is available for members use as well as access to the Oxford Music Companion reference book.

A couple of social events are held during the year and each session starts with tea/coffee and biscuits being served. You will join a very friendly bunch of people if you contact Roger - Group Leader - on 01502 713232 or 07964 373990 or EMail the Music Appreciation group leader
