Canasta
Canasta is played on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at The Seagull Theatre, Morton Road, Pakefield From 14:00 untill about 17:00. There are a few times throughout the year when this venue is not available, thus a few meetings are held at the Mens Shed.
The group has a dozen regular members, who are all competent players, some have learnt or relearnt the game. New members are always welcomed by everyone. I love teaching those who are new to Canasta and my colleagues enjoy playing with other enthusiasts.
Those of you who are familiar with Canasta will be aware that there are some variable rules. We have a set of rules that everyone uses.
As you will have noticed, the finishing time isn't set in stone! Members enjoy cakes and a hot drink at the end of play, for this we charge an extra £0:50. From January our session fee will be £3:00.
