What is the U3A?

Introduction to the U3A
The University of the Third Age is a self-managed lifelong learning co-operative for people with time available in the daylight hours. The Isle of Man U3A intends to provide opportunities for our members to share learning experiences in a wide range of interest groups and to pursue learning not for qualifications, but for fun!!

Activities are organised mainly in small groups that meet regularly, sharing their knowledge, skills and experience and learning from each other. Group leaders are all volunteers and lead groups because of their enthusiasm for their subject and a desire to get other people involved.

The Isle of Man U3A launched on 28 June 2012 and our membership is growing rapidly as more people become aware of the benefits of membership.

For details of how to join and the interest groups we are currently offering (and how to volunteer to co-ordinate your own group) click the Membership and Group tabs at the top of the screen.
